Capital Healthcare's Quarter 3 Corporate Star Performer

Capital Healthcare Services is proud to recognize Clark Hoopes as our Quarter 3 Corporate Star Performer! While many of our nurses and caregivers in the field have never seen or met Clark, he certainly makes an impact on every employee’s life. As the Controller for Capital Healthcare Services, Clark controls something very important—our paychecks!

However, Clark’s job expertise doesn’t stop at paychecks.  Since he joined the Capital Healthcare Services Family, he’s become a jack of all trades, managing our technology, Harmony cars, and many other random, yet important, pieces of the overall puzzle.  “Clark goes above and beyond each day to ensure that our internal and external staff have the resources they need to do their jobs effectively and efficiently,” says Juliana Naugle, HR Manager.

Fortunately for all of us, this is Clark’s favorite aspect of his job duties! “Honestly, it’s the multitude of different projects that I get to be a part of on a daily basis,” he says. “It allows me to encompass a wide variety of skill sets and past experiences on a daily basis, and there isn’t one day that is ever the same!”

In this business, care and compassion is our game, and Clark is an A-player. “Even though finance is my focus, I feel a sense of accomplishment that every day I was a part of something that made a difference in another person’s life,” he says. “It may be a stretch some days, but knowing that an individual in need was helped in part by something I did has to be my favorite thing about working for Capital.”

Clark hasn’t always worked in an environment that held so much passion and purpose. “In a past life, I worked for a headwear and apparel company. When there was an issue or a tough day a common phrase I heard was ‘remember…it’s only hats!’ That actually bothered me because I felt there was more I could be doing with my life than just hats,” he says.  Now that Clark is in the Capital Family, he works with a new-found sense of purpose and enthusiasm. “Working at Capital and being able to help and touch the lives of so many individuals is what keeps me going!” he says. “Knowing that I’m a part of something that is making a difference to a person or the community keeps me motivated.”

When Clark is off the clock, you can find him enjoying the city life in Pittsburgh with his girlfriend, Corrinne, going to the movies, and also playing in a men’s rugby league!  He’s also an animal lover, and particularly loves any saltwater wildlife.

Congratulations to Clark!  For the remainder of the quarter, he will be known as our company “Super Man.”

Happy National Healthcare Recruiter Recognition Day!

Our hard-working recruiters provide exemplary medical professionals to our company each and every week so that we can continue to strive to meet the overwhelming demand from our clients.  We thank them for their persistent pursuit of meeting the expectations of our internal customers and, in turn, our external customers as well.  Because of their relentless efforts, the medical staff they recruited is making a difference in so many individuals’ lives each day! We sincerely thank them for helping us to build stronger communities by enriching the lives of our most vulnerable populations.  We hope knowing this brings a smile to each of them on this day!

Capital Celebrates National Nurses Week

Nobody works harder than those in the healthcare and human services industries, and no one knows that better than nurses.  Nurses, for all of your hard work, commitment to your patients, compassionate care, and relentless efforts, we commend you.  This is your week! During National Nurses Week, we at Capital Healthcare, would like to extend a special thanks to you, our nurses, as you continue to provide the highest level of quality care to your patients. You deserve special recognition for your efforts in delivering compassionate care while embodying our core values, as well as the principles of ethical practice in your profession.

For the nurse who has put her work responsibilities before everything else, for the nurse who has put his social life on pause to pick up an extra shift, for the nurse who can’t remember the last time he had a few consistent nights of good sleep, for the nurse who loves nothing more than to light up her patients’ faces with a smile even when she can barely muster up the energy to put one on her own, this is your week.  We see you, and we value you!

You have entered this career by answering a calling, and even when times get tough, and work cannot seem to get any more stressful, we hope you think back to why you began this journey in the first place.  You are fulfilling your purpose of providing exceptional care to other human beings, one of the noblest and most humbling professions in the world.  Even on what you think is your worst day, you are still making a difference in other people’s lives.  Never forget that!

For all of these reasons and more, we say THANK YOU! You keep this company moving with your character, integrity, passion, and commitment, and we wouldn’t be here without you!  We ask our RNs, LPNs, and CNAs to please check their e-mail inboxes for a little Nurses Week treat from us.
