Capital Healthcare's Quarter 1 Corporate Star Performer

Capital Healthcare Services is honored to crown Rob Hicks as our Star Performer for Quarter 1!  For the past 11 years, Rob has dedicated his time and energy to the success of Capital Healthcare Solutions, working with both the Per Diem and Health & Human Services divisions.  Now as the Per Diem Client Services Manager, Rob has excelled at creating connections, building and sustaining valuable relationships, and leaving his indelible mark on both his team and the organization as a whole.

“Rob is the true definition of every core value here at Capital,” says Missy Annesi, Account Executive for Capital H&HS. “His commitment to his work is seen through the work he does for Capital, not only as a manager, but as a staffer, co-worker and friend.  I am so happy that I was able to work beside him.  He taught me everything I know about staffing and is always here to help me when I have a question.”

Rob’s favorite aspect of his job is the relationships he has developed with his employees and clients. “I love that I get the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people who love to serve others and who are passionate about taking care of those in need,” Rob says.  There’s a good chance anyone who has worked for Capital Healthcare Solutions in the past decade has conversed with Rob over the phone, and gotten to know his commanding personality and contagious laugh firsthand!

Rob leads his role with purpose and passion, and that passion is centered around people—the people he works directly with, the people who only know his booming voice and laugh over the phone, and the people his employees ultimately provide care for. “At the end of the day, what keeps me going is knowing our job is not just to put people into positions and get them employment,” he says. “It is so much bigger.  It is knowing that when we place staff into assignments, we are serving a bigger purpose. Knowing that a person is going to receive the compassion and care they deserve and knowing we played a role in that is such a rewarding feeling!”

In Rob’s free time, he is a family man and an outdoorsman. “I love to spend time with my wife and family hiking, biking, and kayaking,” he says. “Any opportunity I get to spend on a trail in the woods or on the water in my kayak is the best time.”  He also devotes time to volunteer work, coaching soccer  with Urban Impact in downtown Pittsburgh, where he has the opportunity to touch even more lives, acting as a positive role model and ally for underprivileged youth.

We are very grateful for the contributions Rob has made not only in Quarter 1, but in the last 11 years as well!  The Capital Family surely would not be the same without him!
